Campus Community Partnerships for Health
This is a nonprofit organization that promotes health through partnerships between communities and higher educational institutions. Founded in 1996, they are a growing network of over 1,500 communities and campuses across North America and increasingly the world that are collaborating to promote health through service-learning, community-based participatory research, broad-based coalitions and other partnership strategies. These partnerships are powerful tools for improving higher education, civic engagement and the overall health of communities.
International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE): Advances in Service-Learning Research: Volumes 1-10
The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) is an international, non-profit organization devoted to promoting research and discussion about service-learning engagement. IARSLCE was launched in 2005, and incorporated in 2007. Advances in Service-Learning Research is a series of volumes of papers developed from the annual research conference. Conference presenters are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration that are based upon their conference presentations.
National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC)
The Learn and Serve America National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC) supports the service-learning community in higher education, kindergarten through grade twelve, community-based initiatives and tribal programs, as well as all others interested in strengthening schools and communities using service-learning techniques and methodologies.
The National Outreach Scholarship Conference (NOSC), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit educational organization, is composed of higher education member institutions, a mix of state-public and private institutions. Our goal is to work collaboratively to build strong university-community partnerships anchored in the rigor of scholarship, and designed to help build community capacity. Michigan State University currently serves as the administrative home for NOSC and will host the 2011 international conference.
