Paid Opportunities?

“Being a tutor is an excellent way to get involved in the community while earning federal work study money.”

You must have federal work/study as part of your financial aid package in order to qualify for America Reads/America Counts.

America Reads is a program that allows college students to use their Federal Work-study (FWS) to work with teachers in the community to help ensure that every child can read well and independently.  America Counts is a program designed to allow college students to use their FWS to work with teachers in community schools to improve mathematics achievement for upper elementary and middle school children. Tutors provide both remedial and accelerated math support in a variety of school settings.
